Mountain Magic Continued

leave a comment »

The mountain magic continues, and all my many moving parts are cooperating. It’s nice to have a few days with nobody complaining! Even the four-hour drive home was ok. We stopped half way, and I bounced out of the car with negligible stiffness – hooray – took a little walkabout, then rode the rest of the way and experienced very little stiffness upon arrival.

Ate a quick dinner, then spent two hours at Home Depot and Lowes, looking at refrigerators. Even after two hours with concrete beneath my feet, I went to bed with happy joints!

I wonder at the magic of the mountain climate.

This trip was not particularly low stress, as it was a three family council, with my daughter, her fiancée, and both sets of parents. So, I really can’t say it was because I on vacation.

I wonder if my happy joints has anything to do with the weather in general, that my daughter has no air conditioning, that I spend more time outdoors when I’m there, that we’re usually more active? It’s such a mystery. It will be interesting to see if the pattern continues over more visits.

In the mean time, I have another mountain trip, a short camping vacation, to look forward to!
