Weaving my way around Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Two steps forward.

Just another day. Woke with feet, knees, ankles and hips a little stiff, nothing major. Pinkie on left hand didn’t want to type and my back was a little tight. About my normal day. Disappointing after two great days in the mountains – but I have another long mountain weekend planned soon!

Work was really busy, the day flew by.

Edema about the same as it’s been all week, more than last week. Sigh.

I saw PT1 for lymph massage. She was on vacation last week, so this is the first time in months I had gone two weeks without seeing her. She was hoping it would go well and we could space my appointments out. So was I. at $96 a week, my health savings account bottomed out  a month ago and I’m now paying with taxable dollars.

I knew I had more edema than two weeks ago, and when we chatted after the treatment, she agreed. So, I’m back to weekly appointments.

The good news is that the swelling in my left axillary decreased from the treatment. It was still tender, but not hard and swollen to the size of a water balloon, more egg sized and soft and squishy.

One step back, two steps forward. Slow and steady progress. Maybe my body will heal someday. Just not there yet.
