Crones Have Green Thumbs

“…boundary-keeping skills are absolutely necessary. The garden that is you is the one that most needs a green thumb and strong fences.”

I love to garden; it captures my attention, body, heart and soul. Strong fences are something I am struggling with again. The new chickens are flyers and have made my garden their new home the past 6 weeks. They have scratched up all the fall seeds and plants. I returned from my trip to utter devastation.

My living situation also needs some stronger fences. I’m a morning person, living with 4 night owls; an introvert, living with 4 extroverts.

Don’t know the answers; I’ve always thought that living the questions makes life interesting.

Health Stuff:

Hands and feet a little stiff and swollen this am. Maybe a 0.5.

Lymph still improving. I see her for the last time today. Since she is at the hospital, she can only do a set number of sessions.

Tummy quickly returned to normal Tuesday, was flat at bedtime, and when I woke this morning.

Weight this am 173 – back down.  Hands are healing. I tried aloe vera on them last night. Three fingers are normal, 4 have dry spots, but are really close to being healed, two have minor scabs, and only one with new cracks from yesterday’s blisters.

Yesterday I ate: chicken broth, chicken, carrots, grape jello, grape juice, roast chicken, salt, pepper, and 1/4 cup coffee with sugar. Second day of the elimination diet. So far, so good. DD1 made cheese Danish coffee cake and the house smelled divine when I came home. I wasn’t even tempted 🙂
